Appreciate the comment.  I&#039;m more concerned about the deeper &quot;why&quot;.  What was the purpose of the bombs?  Were they trying to increase instability leading up to the parlimentary elections, were they part of a Ba&#039;athist-connected retaliation for the possible banning of the Iraq First political party, or is it part of a Sunni military coup?  Or was it simply Al-Qaeda in Iraq getting jealous of the attention AQAP is getting and wanting to show that they are still viable and active?

All these groups have motivations, but I&#039;m curious which was responsible.</description>
